I have 2 profiles on my computer...I want to use one address book. I read
the post about creating a new file but wasn't to clear...could someone help
me figure out how to Merge the two contact lists?

Outlook has no address book.
You can easily set each profile to use the same Outlook data file if you
wish.

It would be great if you could help me with the procedure to use the same dta
fiie...thanks

IN one profile, click File>Open>Outlook Data File and browse to the PST the
other profile uses.

okay i did that and it opens up my inbox from my other profile but does not
give me access to my contacts)email addresses)? what next?

How does it not give you access? The addresses are in the Contacts folder
where they belong. Do you not see the Contacts folder?

I see what you are talking about. I was looking at the address book tab at
the top of the page. Is there a way to have my address book for both
profiles show up in the address book other than opening up the data folder?

In order to appear in the Address Book, a calendar must be in the mail
profile and marked to show it as an address book. There's nothing wrong
with having a PST included in more than one mail profile.
