Multiple Problems making videos

Problems: (1) WMM takes more than 5 minutes to load a 15 min. project
consisting of video and photos. (2) WMM is very slow when moving photos to
timeline, or going to different photos/video clips on timeline. (3) When
dragging video clip to timeline, part of a completely different video clip
gets attached at beginning of clip. (4) After working on project for a
short time, WMM freezes and does not respond. I have to use
control/alt/delete and end task.

I am using Win XP SP 2; I have 1 GB ram; 256K memory on video card.

Any help with these problems would be greatly appreciated.
