Multiple PDF emails being sent

Using Win XP with OL 03.

I created a DL for my group. I send out a mailing once every week to 12 or
so contacts, as a PDF file.

Later, I get mail from these contacts that they have recived 40 e-mails from
me!

I have read all the help groups, disabled the e-mail scanning of OL 03 and
scanned for viruses Adobe Acrobat, and I still cannot resolve the problem.
Can anyone help me?

Do I need to rebuild my Contacts list, get rid of Adobe Acrobat, change AV
program (Grisoft's AV program).

Or do I need to live with it and use a different mail program instead?

In addition to what you've done, lengthen the server timeout value on the
Advanced tab of your account properties pages and increase the send/receive
interval to no less than 10 minutes.
