Hi,

I have a bunch of single page documents that I would like to scan in
as seperate files (pdf most likely). I know there are scanners which
can scan multiple pages. My question is "Do the multiple page feeded
scanners give you the ability to scan in documents as multiple filess
or does a 10 page document for example, scan in as 1 file only?

Thanks,
Joe

Your question is a good one. Keep in mind that there is always more
than one way to skin a cat.

When you use a scanner with an ADF (automatic document feeder) how it
is saved depends on either the file time you are using or the program
you are scanning into.

If you are scanning directly into Acrobat then it is assumed that
everything being scanned is one document. Once in Acrobat you can
extract pages and save them as separate files. That is one way.

The other way is to scan all pages to a TIFF file. This will
automatically create a numbered file for each page. After that you
open Acrobat and convert each page to a PDF file.

The first way is the fastest I think.
