I recently had XP on my computer on 2 different hard drives, and it would prompt me to select an operating system at start up. But, after removing one from my computer the prompt still comes up, even though i've formated the hard drive. Anyone know how to remove the "Select an operating system" message?

Thanks in advance.

Use Start - Run - MSCONFIG and go to the BOOT.INI tab.
Click on the "Check all boot paths" button. That should remove the
non-existant item from the startup menu.

Good luck
