multiple monitors and duelview

Hi, I upgraded from Windows ME to XP and for a while i was able to have my multiple monitors and the option to "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor" is non existant. I want to know if there is any way for me to get this option back.
I've tried rolling back my video driver, updatinig my driver and just about everything in between I can think of. The option for this is not in Advanced tab for display settings.
I want to be able to run my media player off of my TV and various other programs on my Dell Laptop screen.

Any help in this matter is greatly appreciated. Thank You.

All of this is controlled by the display drivers and any supplemental
software those drivers might use. Have you checked the Dell website to see
if XP versions of these things are available for your laptop?
