It's possible, if you're asking if you can have 2 modems and use them
together, but you'll be tying up 2 phone lines (not just 2 jacks, but 2
separate lines) and your ISP will have to allow you to have multiple
sign-ons at the same time; most don't allow that. In which case, you'll have
to pay for a second account. After you've got it all hooked up and paid for,
you'll find out that it's not going to be as fast as you hope.

You can't connect 2 modems to one phone line or one connection.

but what is the modem bounding.......
..........................

i have just one phone line but 56k modems when i connect to the interent
only one of them is used but what i want is taht i want to use both modems
at the same time for just one connection

That can't be done, modem bonding is a technique that
allowed the two modems to work together, one might be
downloading page one and the other page two, to speed up the
total download, they worked in conjunction with each other
so they shared the load. It is an obsolete technique since
DSL, cable and satellite service is far faster and cheaper
per mega-byte downloaded.

BTW, you posted your question at least three separate time
within 15 minutes, don't do that again.

Hello

Can XP professional handle 2 TAPI modem at the same time not for dial up connection but receiving phone calls to the PC.

I would like to use call answering software in my PC. When one modem is receiving the incoming call, other modem dials the number base on the extension setups so you can be reached at any time, anywhere, programming your number as an extension number…giving people professional impression like a big office with the professional call handling

I tried to use two modems; there was always problem to recognize the second modem. Product info can be found at http://www.objectworld.com/products/capro/index.php.

You would need to assign each modem an IRQ /port that is not
shared with the other, I think. Check with the modem mfg'r
for any FAQ/tech support.

Are buying or writing the software?

IRQ Interrupt Request, hardware is not ON all the time, the
CPU polls each device in turn if the device has request data
[sent/rec] . To learn more, use Google.

If you are buying software, the software author/company
should be the place to get answers.
