Hi!

Is it possible to stop vuescan from scanning the USB bus? I want to
start one vuescan for doing batch+raw scanning from my SF-210/CS5000,
and another instance for scanning from the generated raw files, testing
various options etc.

But when I start one vuescan it scans the bus, if I start a second it
also scans the USB bus and this sets up my ehci-hcd controller (kernel
Ooops, I don't know what vuescan is doing with the usb bus!?)

I tried setting the SCANNER0 to /dev/null so that vuescan ignores the
usb bus, but it didn't work.

Any other suggestions how to do this?

If not, here is a wishlist item: option --nousb, or --onlyfromfile or
something similar.

Best wishes

Norbert

Nobert,
there is an option at the Prefs tab: disable scanners
That should work. Just install a second copy of VueScan in another directory.

Hello, Norbert Preining

Copy vuescan to another folder and start it there. Set 'Disk files
only' in Prefs tab. Next time you start Vuescan it should not look for
Scanners.

See the manual for details ;-)
