Multiple Icons appear in system tray

MSAS seems to be working correctly, and the scheduled scans run as expected,
but multiple 'target' icons appear in the system tray over time. Sometimes
they appear at a rate of 1 per minute or faster, and just stack up to the
left. If I place the mouse pointer over the ones to the left, they disappear
until only one is left. A few minutes (or hours) later, there are several
again. Occasionally, ALL of the icons dissapeaqr when the mouse pointer is
over them, and then I'm left with no handle.

What gives?? Is this an indication of syware or malware attempts thwarted,
or just a goofy bug?

Anyone else see this?

goofy bug.

One concommittant may be a fingerprint reader, or a host VNC session active,
or installation on a tablet PC.

It's a bug. I expect it to be fixed in beta 2 the first half of next year.
