Multiple home desktops with NAV2003?

Fred

I have Norton Antivirus 2003. I use it on my two desktops (hard lan wired
on same desk) and my laptop. I am the only user of these computers.

My main computer NAV subscription was going to expire so I renewed it, no
problem. Nothing is for free. But how do I get the same subscription
number into my other two running NAV2003. I am not a business user, and
like I said, I am the only user of these computers. I am NOT going to pay
a subscription for all three.

So how to get the other desktop and the laptop (can also connect to lan) on
the same subscription under my name?

And, how do I find my subscription ID?

Thanks!

Fred,

I will follow this thread with interest because I had the same issue. I
could not find a way to do it and resolved the issue by switching to
Grisoft's AVG Free Edition which seems to work just fine. In fact, I like
it better as it seems to use less system resources.

When I last looked, Symantec was quite clear that each license is for one PC
only. The workaround has always been to reformat your hard drive and then
do a fresh install of NAV. Typically, that's not a very realistic option,
given how long it takes to reinstall and configure everything.

A simple uninstall/reinstall worked for me. Use the removal tool from
symantec's site - rnav.exe.

That's good to know, Andrew. Thanks.

No Fred, of course not.

Just like when you buy a new set of tires for one car,
you're entitled to come back later and steal another set
for each of your other cars...

Why should I have to buy a street directory for each of my vehicles?

Problem is i don't have the install disk. I downloaded the 2003 upgrade for
my 2002. I have the file to download the 2003, but it always comes up with
the old subscription when I use that program.

I would like to use NAV on all my systems, but I ain't paying $30 per
machine. I did remove NAV from other systems, and found a freeware virus
program. If it works ok on the machine it's on, I will replace Norton
products forever.
