hi,
I have 2 harddrives installed in my computer and am thinking of buying a new
200gb.
And i wonder if it's possible somehow to install more HDD than 2. I have an
old third HDD that ive been testing to install to see if it works but i ont
get it :P
So.. will I be able to install 3 or do i have to remove one of my
harddrives?

thx!!

It's possible a number of ways. Not recommended but if you only had one
optical drive you could put it on the second socket of that cable. Though
I'd not recommend that at all. If you have both SATA and IDE you could use
both. If you were to invest money you could get a RAID card and then use
multiple drives. Alternatively? I'd opt (under the right circumstances) to
simply get an enclosure with it and use it via USB 2.0 (much faster than
1.1) and call it good if you didn't want to go through the additional
hassles.

Just get a PCI expansion card with an IDE controller on it.
That will allow you to put 4 more HDs in your system. They
go for anywhere between $15 and $40 on the 'Net. Big
names in the field are SIIG, Promise, HighPoint and a bunch of
others, all using the same few chipsets. They come in both
PATA and SATA versions.

It's not a problem at all to run more than two drives.

Currently I am running:

1 SATA drive
2 CD Drives (CDROM and CDRW) on onboard secondary IDE controller
2 ATA drives on onboard primary IDE controller
1 ATA drive on a PCI card IDE controller

So there you have it: 4 hard drives in my box. It's very possible.
