Multiple Hard Drives Not Recognized

I just did a clean install of Vista Home Premium on my XP Pro machine. I
have a 40GB drive and a 320GB drive that has been partitioned into two
logical drives. Vista was installed onto the 40GB drive, where XP had
previously lived. When the machine booted after the install, the big drive
and it's data are not available. In the Disk Management snap in it shows as
Disk 1, Dynamic, off line and can not be accessed. The device manager shows
it as installed and running properly. Right clicking on it gives me the
option of converting it to a Basic Disk, but that will delete the data.
Properties do not show any volumes or data about the disk. Any ideas?
Thanks

Hello Rick,

Unfortunately, Home Premium does not support dynamic disks at all. Only the
Ultimate and Enterprise editions of Vista have support for dynamic disks.

How much data is on this large drive? To get it off, you could reinstall XP pro
the burn it to DVD's.
