I have multiple gateways in my office. When I use the
first gateway (which connects me to my DSL router) it
works fine. When I use my second gateway (which connects
me to a lan modem for my as400) it works fine. But when I
try to connect to my DSL, I can't until I reboot my pc.
It will not go back and forth between the two gateways.
Any suggestions?

You need to know what routs exist and create them in your routing table. I
would specify the route on your default gateway.

Lets say your default network is 192.168.1.x and the AS400 is on
192.168.2.x, create a route on the first gateway (usually addressed
192.168.1.1) that forwards packets to 192.168.2.x to the second gateway
(usually has both a 192.168.1.x address and 192.168.2.1) and create a route
on the second gateway that forwards packets for 192.168.1.x to the first
gateway.
