Multiple error messages

I am the creator of an Access database and currently the only person having
this problem...I get errors of many types when I have left the database open
and return to or attempt to scroll through records. The errors are
intermittent and seem to occur when I have multiple applications open. The
error messages seem to point to loss of network connection and IT has rebuilt
my machine, changed my access to the network etc. Any ideas? I realize that
this is likely an internal network problem but thought I would ask here in
case others have had similar problems. Thanks!

Server, Server NIC, Ethernet cable, router/switch/..., Ethernet cable, PC
NIC ...

There are a lot of places the network connection could be dropping out. Did
the IT gurus check all these?

They are working on it and don't really convey all that they are doing. When
I have asked the response is that they have rebuilt my machine, changed my
access to the switch, changed the physical cables and gave me a new network
card...and checked out the server. What is NIC?

Access is the "canary in the coalmine". If there is ANY intermittent
problem with network connections, it will cause your Access application to
disconnect from the network. The IT department at my present client
insisted that there was no problem with their network but Access kept
loosing its connection to the BE. I ended up converting the BE to SQL
server which is much less sensitive to the network issue and the database
has been stable ever sense.

For now, your best bet is to close the application when you are not going to
use it for a while.

In addition to the stuff that Jeff suggested, check your power saving
settings. If your disk drive powers down, you will also loose your
connection because your PC won't respond to a ping from the network so it
will think you are not there.
