Multiple E-mails addresses

What am I missing here? I see that Vista doesn't want you to have more than
one idenity. Do I need to setup a different user account for each e-mail
address that I have? Must be an easier way...
Thanks

WinMail does not have multiple identities, like OE did.
You can add multiple mail accounts, but all messages go into the same
inbox.

Which is easy to manage, as then you can just use filters to let the
messages go to different folders. You don't need different Identities for
that.

I know you indicate that below, but I just wanted to emphasize that you
don't _need_ different identities to handle multiple accounts.

I am almost a month into the headaches of this new Vista and many 3 hr.
conversations with Dell and still having several problems with Vista.

Currently, my problem is that I can only access my main email using Windows
Mail, but cant seem to finalize my two business emails. The help menu says
we can have multiple emails. Why is it that I can set them up in my
accounts, yet nothing comes through? What am I missing?

I also need to be sure that when I send emails they come from the correct
email address and salutation. How do I seperate those by a filter as
mentioned in one of these replies?

It doesn't seem fair after the cost of a Vista, Office 2007, and new
computer (which has contracts with Gates to load with his software) to ask
that user to purchase another program add-on to be able to do what we did
before with our previous software (which we bought from him too).

IT'S BEEN SAID IF SOMETHING ISN'T BROKEN - DON'T FIX IT. SEEMS LIKE THIS
WAS JUST ANOTHER TOOL TO SELL MORE PRODUCT. HOW DO WE ASK BILL GATES FOR A
PATCH OR SOMETHING?

You can keep personal and business mail separated.
In Windows Mail, go to Tools, Message Rules, and the
rules wizard will walk you through creating rules like this:

1. Where the message is from the Personal account
move it to the Personal folder
and stop processing more rules.

2. Where the message is from the Business account
move it to the Business folder
and stop processing more rules.

When you check mail in your business accounts, do you
get an error message?
