I'm working on a large project that will have 8 domains (6
servers in each domain) and I need to implement DNS.
What is the best way to implement DNS. Does DNS have to
ben in the same domain for the servers to do lookups..?

Please advise

Not to do lookups, the DNS server doesn't even have to be in a domain. But
if you allow dynamic updates if the DNS is not on a DC and you allow dynamic
updates, if the zone is a standard primary, any machine can update DNS.
You best bet is to keep DNS on the DCs, so you can control DNS registration
in the zone ACL.

Why don't you just call me -- I'll give you a few point and we can
quickly access where you DNS experience is too.
