Hi,
I have a couple of domain names inside my company such dev.local,
sap.local, and finance.local domain names on a DNS server. I can
configure multiple DNS domain name in dns suffix and it resolved the
name beautifully. Therefore, I wanted to configure multiple DNS suffix
on DHCP server which I used "015 DNS Domain Name" option. I was using
",", " ", ";" as separator between each domain names and it was not
working because it treated as a single string. Is there a way to
configure multiple dns suffix through DHCP? I will be appreciated your
information and tips.

Thank you in advance,

Johnny Chow

You can't ... but you shouldn't need to either. Assuming each domain has a
DNS server running within it, you should forward unresolved name requests
from any one server to the other two to see if they can identify it.

In my scenario, I only have 1 dns server to solved multiple domain name
(Forward lookup zones)such as sap.local, dev.local, and etc. My
solution was having multiple domain name suffix on the local machines so
when the user type the hostname "testserver" then it will go through
sap.local, and others in sequence. However, I was thinking it is
feasible to do it on DHCP configuration. Correct me if I am wrong, does
DHCP option 15 only allow one dns name? I could not make it working
with multiple DNS name with ",", " ", ":", and ";" as separater and it
just treated as one string. Any tip and info will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Yeah ... that's what "You can't" means. One DNS suffix in DHCP options.
Configure other PCs using Registry settings if you require multiple DNS
suffixes.
