I want to send the same email message to multiple distribution lists. Can
anyone tell me how to do this?

Thanks.

Same as any other time you send to multiple recipients: Add each DL to the
To field.

Okay, when I did that I received I received an undeliverable message saying
there were "too many recipients" for several of the email addresses.

So why didn't you include that tidbit with your question? Did you think we
could just read your mind?
That is not an Outlook question or problem. Your mail service provider has
set that restriction. Ask them what their limits are and how best to avoid
them. Most Outlook users use mail merges instead of trying to send to more
recipients than their provider allows. You cannot use a DL for a mail merge.

It's never a bother if you would simply follow guidelines for asking
volunteers to answer your questions on their free time. Posting incomplete
or inaccurate information wastes your time and ours:

Aren't most distribution lists fairly long, or you wouldn't bother to make it
a permanent list? I didn't think it was an unreasonable question. I am
having similar issues with Outlook but if to ask a question here I need to
understand all the correct terminology and appreciate every possible
parameter then I don't feel this is the place to get help. Thanks anyway.

Not if you're using Outlook. Distribution Lists in Outlook were a poorly
implemented afterthought that never worked well. Now they are obsolete. Most
ISP's don't allow sending to more than an handful of recipients, so why
should Outlook spend development effort for a feature that is already dead
in the water?

Okay, well what do you recommend? I have a contact list of 290 addresses
that I need to send a regular newsletter to. Should I break the list into
smaller pieces? Thanks.
