Hi
Often on my win2k appear blu screen of death with hardware conflict. I noted
that multiple device have the same IRQ 9.
Can tell me if this can generate my problem?
TIA Pupo

Yes, it is very likely that the IRQ conflict is the reason for your problem.
I had the same problem - I had 5 devices on the 11-th IRQ. In most of the
cases the sound card causes problems when sharing one and the same IRQ with
another device. If your mainboard supports it you have to enable IO APIC in
your BIOS, which will give you access to 23 IRQs under Win 2000/XP. After
enabling the APIC you have to change in Device Manager ->Computer to ACPI
Uniprocessor PC driver. This will solve your problem.

Multiple hardware on the same IRQ is generally not a problem. It is
called IRQ Steering and has been around since Windows 98 and the BIOS
from then. It is very common to have hardware on IRQ 9 or IRQ 23 in
Windows 2000. Unless you have specific hardware or drivers that don't
support this it isn't your problem. You need to t-shoot the specific
stop error you get. If you are getting multiple different stop errors
then you may have a hardware problem.
