Multiple Deletes on Opening

When I open a file form the desktop,I mostly get

"Areyou sure you want to remove XXX to teh recycle bin?"

I seem to get between 30 and an infinite numberofpop up
boxes.

I can right click and open, but its a pain, and teh kids
dont remember to do it that way.

Sometimes there are so many that I have to re-boot
through the task manager or justcrashthe system.
