When I click on the two button, I get two names for the same person, his old one and his new one. In contacts his is only listed with his new address.

I need to get rid of the old name.

Thanks
Pat

Pat,

I'm not offering a solution here but I would like to
mention that I have a similar problem, which nobody seems
to be able to solve.

A few months ago I made the mistake of sending a work
colleague something from home. Now everytime he types my
name in the To: field, Outlook substitutes my home
address, instead of my office address. Then a few weeks
ago this person put my name in the CC: field. along with
a host of other contacts. Now my home address gets used
everytime those people send email. This problem is
proliferating throughout my company like a virus, and our
IT group has no idea how to fix it.

These rogue addresses are not stored in the contact
address folders, and nobody knows where they're stored in
order to delete them.

I too would also greatly appreciate someone who could
povide an answer to this issue.

Regards, Chris

Post your Outlook version. I would assume the names are stored in your
autocompletion cache.

Hi there,

I posted the same question today, then I found this one.
I am using Office Xp 10.4219.4219 SP2.
How do you get to the autocompletion cache ?
thanks
Sean

Remove individual addresses from the autocompletion cache by highlighting
the entry when presented in the suggested names list (use your arrow key to
migrate to the entry) and then hitting your Delete key before you tab out of
the field. To clear the entire cache, follow the instructions here:
