multiple copies of messages

We have one user that receives multiple copies of messages
with large attachments. If a message is copied to
numerous recipients, he is the only one that receives
multiple copies of the message. He is running Outlook 98
on Win98SE. I cannot see what is causing this. He does
not have "keep copy on server" checked either and his mail
folder is otherwise empty.

Any ideas on how what could be wrong?

I have sometimes had this problem if I cancel/disconnect during a mail
download session.
Then the mails I have already downloaded arrive again on the next
mail-receive session.

Could that be happening, especially if this person has a connection which
often goes down?
