I havn't seen any other complaints on here about this problem but I'll ask
anyway. Is anyone else having trouble with windows letting go of IE out of
memory when it is closed? Every once in a while my system will act a little
slow when I go to load up IE 6.0, then when I open up the task manager, I'll
see that there is like 2 or 3 copies of it running in memory already. What
the heck is going on? This is wreaking havic on my available memory. Any
ideas/suggestions?

Yes. Depending on your OS and level of maintenance.
Keyword for searching: leak

Specific example: GDI Objects in XP

<title>KB319740 - MFC applications leak GDI objects on computers
that are running Windows XP</title>

Tip: Use Task Manager and turn on all Processes tab statistics
to check which memory resource is leaking (e.g. with View, Select Columns...)
