multiple contact files

My husband and I both have smartphones. They both have auto sync. when sync
one it puts all my contacts on his phone and vice versa. we have to manually
delete each contact from the phones individually. What should we do to have
separate contact files to sync each phone separately.

Err separate Windows log-ins or separate Outlook profiles?
