i have a query with only two columns.
the report i have created consists of two columns per page. i want the
report to consist of more than two columns per page in order to gain pages. i
n other words i want that the continuity of the data is on the same page
with four columns per page instead of three.

Why fight it? Export the query to MS Word, and in Word, click on the Columns
icon and spread it out to 4 columns. It won't happen easily in Access.

I think this is what your asking.
You can set the number of columns used in the page setup (columns) tab.
You can set up a fixed width for the columns or use the report width.
