Multiple cell sizes on one worksheet

Good day. I am using Excel 2002 and I have several
workbooks that contain data and text. I have been
manipulating the text to fit in or around the data cell
sizes and I have reached a point where I would like to
change my way of doing things.

I know that Forms are available in Excel, but I have not
ever tried using them. I would like to be able to have a
certain cell size on the top half of my worksheet sized to
fit my data, and be able to enter lengthy text in cells on
the lower half of the worksheet. I know that I can
continue to enter text beyond the limit of the current
cell and the text will show on the printout, but editing
such text becomes difficult without being able to see the
results on the screen.

Is there a way to do what I want to do? If Forms is the
answer, how do I start using Forms?

Thanks, Danno...

I am not sure where you got the impression that excel includes forms.

The best you can do is select a rectangular group of cells and do

Format=>Cells=>Alignment Tab, then click the merge cells checkbox

This will allow you to treat this group as a single cell -- which sounds
like what you want.

Thanks, Tom.

That is exactly what I was looking to do.

I guess I assumed that Forms were part of Excel.

Thanks, Danno...
