All you have to do is go under My calendars and tick the
calendars you want
visible. You can then choose to overlay them too and that way
you will be
able to have a visual idea of what your day looks like...once
you can see all
the apt, meetings, events and tasks you have.
To overlay a calendar, open it and then click on the arrow next
to the
calendar name. It will then overlay with the other calendar.

If you need to restore backups then something is screwy with your
installation.
This is a video of what should happen when you switch between folder
list and calendar view. Note that the calendar view 'sticks' when you
switch back to Folder list until you select a folder to display - you
can't select multiple folders in the folder list though, which is why
you need to switch to the calendar module to select multiple
calendars. Either use Crtl+2 and Ctrl+6 or the buttons in the
Navigation pane to switch back and forth.
I need to restore a backup, because when I do what you told to see 2
calendars side by side, and not within each other, the only way to
get the whole folder list back is to either retore the backup, or to
crash Outlook before it can save the new setting(which is only
seconds), otherwise the only thing that I can see is just the
calendars, and I can not switch to any other folder/view, not even
the e-mail
If you are an MVP for Microsoft, you could suggest them a better way
to view multiple calendar, a way that does not require an engieering
degree to use the program, I just a normal user with no degrees. I
thought that Outlook 2007 would be easier to use than the previous
version, but it turns out, that if you want to use the new "easier"
feature, it's even less user friendly than before

because there is not a way to select and deselect calendars in that

where it was, butit was showing how the new Office 2007 was working
and was new

the panes to see the other folder types.

What I saw on the demo, was the another calendar appearing within
the main calendar, and the left side still showing all the
folders, the way it should be, toherwise I'm stuck using Outlook
for calendar only.
Ctrl+1 to see only the mail folders or Ctrl+6 to switch back to
the folder list - you can't use the contents of mail folders
and the calendar at the same time unless you open multiple
outlook windows.

work, and I use the standard view in Calendar, I didn't even
know that there were any other (the one that I'm in when
calendar are opening is showing a month, which is the way a
calendar should be).
Outlook 2007 correct? Are you using a table view or the
Day/Week/month view? Oh... you are in folder list - go to the
calendar module - either Ctrl+2 or click on the calendar
button at the bottom of the navigation pane. Now you can show
multiple calendars and overlay them.

Sorry, but I do not have any of what you are telling about,
the only thing that I have is a "+" sign beside the Calendar,
which is my main calendar, and if I expand the "+" to "-", I
see the other calendars that I have created to unclutter the
main calendar
When I click on one of them I see only that one, I know it's
possible to have the appointement from the other calendar to
be showing in the main (I saw that on a demo), but I can not
get it to work over here
the folder list's navigation calendar count is controlled by
the available space. If you are showing the view selector,
turn it off (look on Views menu). you can also pull the
divider inward 1 or more calendar widths.

When I click on the calendar on the left side navigation
pane (folder list), I can only see one calendar at the
time, and even going through the menus I can not find
anything that will let me do this

Hi,
All you have to do is go under My calendars and tick the
calendars you want
visible. You can then choose to overlay them too and that
way you will be
able to have a visual idea of what your day looks
like...once you can see all
the apt, meetings, events and tasks you have.
To overlay a calendar, open it and then click on the arrow
next to the
calendar name. It will then overlay with the other
calendar.
