Hello-
I am putting together a photo slide show with music. I would also like to
add some sound effects, and possible narration, in addition to the music. Is
it possible to have music and then narration or sound effects over the music?
It seems to be one or the other. Any ideas?

You can have both.

Add the pictures / add the music / save the movie.

Re-import the movie / drag it to the timeline / add additional sound
files.

You can save in a movie format...wmv or .avi...
with the following steps.

To save as a .wmv movie file...
Type...Ctrl+P to open the Save Movie Wizard /
Choose...My Computer /
Next /
Enter a Name and a Save Location /
Next / Next.
Wait while the movie is saved /
Finish...

To save as an .avi movie file...
Type...Ctrl+P to open the Save Movie Wizard /
Choose...My Computer /
Next /
Enter a Name and a Save Location /
Next /
Show More Choices /
Other Settings /
Open the drop window and choose...DV-AVI /
Next /
Wait while the movie is saved /
Finish...

The STORYBOARD is fairly concrete..it will accept a Video Effect...a
TRANSITION...a THUMBNAIL..and Audio Tracks..Titles and Credits..for Audio
Samples they would need to be a Video EFFECT to overlay the Audio
TimreLine..but you could create an external Audio track that mixes your Music
and Narration..My PanaSONIC CamCorder also completes this operation..its
called 16-bit Audio..which will OPEN a second AUDIO Timeline///adding to the
INTERLEAVED FILE already loaded into the STORYBOARD.....I used this in a
Christmas Video w/Family..there was a Snacking & Drinking set w/Music playing
in the background....I used 16-bit recording and when I Captured the File in
MSMM 2 I added a second music score set to a higher volume to accompany a
phone conversation w/parents far away(Mr. Barry White sang)as two youngster's
spoke on the phone..culmunateing in two sounds(actually)three sounds
includeing the phone conversation...so its 12-bit....or.....16-bit......in
the CamCorder...or some professional sound editing at home.
