Andre

Hi I have a exchange account which I login from outlook 2003.

I also have 3 pop accounts which i need to send/receive from different
companies.

I have @domain.com exchange account default

@domain1.com
@domain2.com
@domain3.com all pop accounts

I need to send as from all 4 accounts

I understand the rules you can make into 3 seperate folders.
However am not sure if I can use pop3 puller GFI and route to these folders
from outlook rules wizard. Alternatively have seperate accounts in outlook
and use rules to route to specific folders.

Paramount is the need to send from each of these accounts:

@domain.com
@domain1.com pop
@domain2.com pop
@domain3.com pop

What is the best way to achieve this?

1 other question.

The dialog box usernam/password takes around 2 mins to pop up when I open
outlook2003. Any ideas as to why this is occuring. I upgraded from outlook
2000 to 2003 so to migrate all accounts and settings.

if you use a pop3 connector on exchange they will automatically reply from
the exchange acct. you can use rules to move the mail - use words in the
header not accounts. To reply using those addresses you'll need to make an
acct in outlook and choose the from.

no idea on why it is so slow - try a new profile. It's generally recommended
when you upgrade from really old versions anyway.

Thanks for your prompt response Diane.

if you use a pop3 connector on exchange they will automatically reply from
the exchange acct.

So if (e-mail address removed) sent and email to pop @domain1.com when I reply
the recipient will see it as from pop @domain.com and not default smtp
address in ADUC.

To reply using those addresses you'll need to make an
acct in outlook and choose the from.

You don't mean a pop account? I have already got the default exchange
account running.

One more thing I found out on one of the accounts @domain1 is forwarded to
@domain2

If I use the pop puller and pull in @domain2 account it will also include
mail from @domain1. If the user wants to send from @domain1, would I add the
@domain1 email addy to ADUC email addresses, how would exchange know to send
from that specific @domain1 account? Is there any additional config on the
client side I would have to perform so I could use send as @domain1.

Hope this is not confusing :)

the exchange account can only use the default SMTP address for the acct. If
you want to send mail from other accts, you need to make a pop or imap acct
in the profile with the desired sending address. The incoming server can be
fake - you just need to send using that acct.
