Multiple accounts and admin training

I would like to set up my windows xp pro system so that it
has multiple accounts. When I did this it did not work to
well because after the accounts were set up they had
limited ability to custimize that account. I could not
even install from cd because windows would complain I
needed admin access. How do I go about customizing each
account (gaming account, web browsing account, work
account, etc.) when everytime I try to do something it
just says I have to be admin. I am admin on a admin
account so I have access to admin.

One other thing, any sites/free info anywhere that I can
get so that I can read about how to be a system admin? I
think If I knew that then I would not be having this
problem.

Thanks,

Jerry

When you create a user account, you are given a choice of creating either a Limited account or an administrator account.

I understand that but I only want to have one admin
account and the help/support does not go into details
because microsoft does not want you to get this
information for free when they can write a book and say
buy it and read it. I know there is another way to do it.
Any other thoughts?

Thanks,

Jerry

So you are saying an admin creates an account, then sets
it up the way they want it then changes the user type?

Thanks,

Jerry

P.S. Where can I find information to read so that I can
learn to administrate my computer?

No.

You might be able to perform admin-level tasks in a Limited account by using "Run As".

If not in | Help and Support |, then perhaps in a library or a bookstore which stocks technical books on Windows XP.
