Hi,

My neighbour and I would like to play some games we have
together. He runs XP Home like I do but he uses dial-up to
connect to the internet and I use cable. We are thinking
of playing Unreal 2 and Halo.

How can we get connected and experience that multipalyer
gaming experience?

Thank you.

Hi John,

Your neighbour and you both will connect to the Internet
and start Halo. Your neighbour will select the Multiplayer
Internet Option to Host a game, and he will tell you the
name and password that he picks for it. You will then
Join his game by going to the Multiplayer Internet menu
to choose his game from the list and enter the password.

You can choose not to use a password so that others can
join the game with you and make it a true multiplayer game.

Feel free to ask more specific questions once you've tried
this. It's really quite intuitive once you connect to the Net. :-)

Also, since your neighbour uses 'dial-up' then your on-line game(s) will be
limited by his access speed.
