multimedia keyboard

i have the microsoft multimedia keyboard and its ps2. i
got a usb convertor to make the ps2 into usb so i could
use the keyboard on my laptop which dosnt have any ps2
ports. the keyboard works as a normal keyboard but none
of the specal keys work. how can i make them work?

The multimedia keyboard is designed to work with ps/2 only.
It will not know how to interrept the USB signals that are being force-fed
into it via the adapter.

A device must be designed to work with different ports for such port
adaptors to work. You can't cobble together adapters with the hopes that it
will work just because it will fit into the socket.

I purchased the same keyboard just a few weeks ago and
ran into the same problem with the same answer.
