Install the drivers supplied with your motherboard & other hardware, or
those from the PC makers site if a large OEM eg Dell/HP

It is a good thing you didn't tell us what make and model of
computer, or make and model of motherboard this is. Now, we
cannot give you any detailed reply. I am frustrated too.

Can you help me out? I need the multimedia audio controller. I have a FUJITSU
SIEMENS CELSIUS R610. With a Tyan Computer Corporation S26361-D1357 G
motherboard.

S26361-D1357 is mentioned here on page 35. This is a Thunder i7525 with E7525/ICH5 chipset.
Audio is via Analog Devices AD1981B AC'97 codec. Processing is via dual Xeon
604 socket processors.

Try the driver section here. There are several drivers, some for
64 bit OSes.

http://www.tyan.com/support_download_drivers.aspx?model=S.S2676

What is really comical, is the fourth entry down in the audio section,
the SP25569 driver - well, that naming convention is the same as used
by HP in their driver downloads. Almost as if Tyan has an HP-style
driver. You can compare it to the HP version if you want :-)

Have fun,

I am frustrated to Paul. I don't understand why everybody has to be a smart
a$$.

If you need to identify this device (in order to download
and instal up to date drivers) it may help to run free
diagnostics from www.belarc.com
which identify most hardware devices as well as software.

This worked for me, might be worth a try if u still stuck......
go to 'START' (bottom left of desktop, greenish button)
click on 'Help and Support'
on right hand side of this window, find 'Pick a Task"
(shud b option 3)
click on 'Undo changes to your pc with System Restore' (hopefully yr pc has
this option)...
a calendar window shud appear with dates of programme software changes in
bold script on days........the trick here is to remember which day u deleted
your
audio by accident, choose the day before that and reset the computer -
unfortunately you will lose all programme software loaded after that date,
but u can
easily restore if needed.

okay guys and ghouls, i have a solution to this problem.

what you need to do is open up your control panel and double click on system.
yeah, the little computer screen and tower with a check on the monitor. then
my friends, click on the hardware tab, and then click device manager. double
click on your angry little yellow icon with the exclamation point. when that
opens up, you will want to restore to your previous driver. click the restore
previous driver button. that should fix your problem. keep in mind that i
have no idea if that will alter anything youve done between now and the time
you screwed up your electronic devices.

just want you to know that i dont know poop about computers, and i was high
on weed when i discovered it.

smoke up and fix up with your dicks up

Look at the mother board not I couldn't get my R610 audio working until I found the correct driver indicated above. My mother board is the same model you indicated above according to the fujitsu-siemens software tool but on the board it is etched as S2665 which requires the above drive. I just installed it works. Good Luck Travis

Why did you post something brand new that seems to refer to something else
but has no actual points of reference?

What he actually did was edit the subject line, which really bollixes up
the thread.

Yes and the annoying practice of using the subject-line to communicate the
whole message has gotten completely out of hand. What software are people
using that makes changing the subject-line so easy or desirable?

I suppose it is the "texting" mentality at work. As to changing it, not
difficult at all, they click in the subject line and edit it. That comes
from not being familiar with usenet at all.
