I have PP 2003 and I have to have a presentation done in English w/ Russian
subtitles per se. When I do this, the English portion shows ok. There's
even some slides that show the Russian text as well. The problem is that
there are some slides that have English ok, and underneath the English, where
the Russian 'translation' should be, it's either blocks, or 'aaaaa aaa a aa'.
Anyone know what causes this or the fix for this?

Do you have the Russian font loaded on the presentation computer? It sounds
like PPT is making a font substitution for a missing font.

I didn't see a Russian font in the list/folder. If I click on the text on
the slide, it shows English (US) and the sub-text which shows 'aaaa' says
Russian (Russia). Funny thing is that it works fine on an XP machine. On our
Win2k machines the Russian language comes up as 'aaaa's. Both are using
PP2003. Only difference would be OS and language packs. Our 2k machines don't
have Russian as a language choice, however it's there for XP. I've looked
everywhere for a language pack, or something that will recognize it, but no
dice so far. Any suggestions??
