I have a 2003 Server (member - not a DC) that has two NICs in their own
respective subnets. Everything seems to be fine I can ping to and from
either subnet from different machines.

However, the machine is not seeing the domain. It is a member of the domain
.... but I can't bring up any tools that would normally see the domain for
instance.

When I log in it takes an inordinant amount of time ... unless I log in as
local administrator.

What am I overlooking?

The NIC that is on the subnet where the DC lives should be set as the first
priority NIC.

Properties of Network Places,...Advanced from the Top Menu,...Advanced
Settings...from the dropdown menu,...you should be able to figure it out
from there.

There should only ever be one DNS Server listed in the Network Settings,
unless you have more than one DC (running DNS) for the Domain, then include
each. The ISP's DNS should only appear in the "forwarders list" in your
DNS's Config, but no where else.
