Hi all

I work for a Training Company who currently use Ghost to
rebuild classroom pc all at once using multicast
sessions, and it works very well.

My problem now is that I have talked them in to upgrading
from Windows NT to Windows XP, I know I'll have to
upgrade Ghost as well, but what I'm concerned about is if
I will still be able to use one image for all PC or if
each PC will have to have their own image. If I can use
one image how will this effect Microsofts Activation and
the points system for changing key components of the PC.

Thanks in advance

Nathan

Activation issue depends what version of XP you are using to build your
image with (retail, OEM, Corporate) and how many images you'll need depends
on how well you understand the complexity of using the sysprep.exe to make a
versatile image that will have multiple drivers available and can install
various hals. If you have to install on multiple hardware platforms (various
mother boards, cpu's, etc.) and aren't comfortable with the sysprep options,
assuming you already are using the correct XP source, making a separate
image will take longer but will be safer in the long run.

Suggest you read all the data found at
