Multi-user/refresh problem?

I developed an adp in A2K that has 5 users currently, each with their own
copy of the adp. When I make changes to the adp, I transfer the modified
adp to each user. Do each of them have to quit Access first before opening
the modified one? The reason I ask is I made a change to a form this
morning, tested the change successfully, then transferred the adp. Only one
user was using the previous adp and just closed it but didn't close Access.
Then they opened the new adp but the form did not work correctly for them.
Only after they restarted did the form work correctly. I tried the adp
myself and the form did not work correctly for me either. Only after I
restarted did it work correctly.

So you copied the new file to the same location as the old file whilst they
were still using the old file?

This being so, it sounds like the file may have become corrupted, or not
even copied at all.

No, they logged out of the old, accepted the new, but didn't log off Access
before opening the new. Our IT department has a batch process that prompts
them to load the new. I'm wondering if they should log out of Access before
opening the new.

You shouldnt need to (I tried closing an ADP file, replacing it & then
reopening it), but perhaps the batch process is doing something different?
