Hello,

I installed Microsoft AntiSpyware with an administrator
account under Windows XP. No problem, it's OK.
When I stop my session and I log in with an another
administrator account, I have the message in a popup box

"Erreur Inattendue; Abandon"
in english, "Unexpected error; Cancel" and I have just an
OK bouton.

I am a french people, so the message is in french

Could you help me to solve this problem ?

thanks

You are correct, Microsoft Antispyware does not work well in a multi-user
environment. If you are using Fast User Switching, I'd recommend shutting
down Microsoft Antispyware before switching users--but there will still be
problems--unexpected prompts.

Bill,

I had the same problem several months ago and eventually gave up on multi
user systems. But last week I did a clean install of XP SP2 on a system
that was needed for a group of visitors. I was on auto pilot and installed
MSAS build 615 without thinking and have had no problems with any of the
user accounts. Amazing. Doing things without thinking has benefits.

I've got a couple of machine with two administrator users which see very
little problem except a spurious alert or two. Nothing that is too
perplexing.

I don't know why this is a big issue in some situations, and nearly
invisible in others. I expect the rules to be clearly delineated when beta2
arrives, though--i.e. I don't know how well they will do at making it work
in all possible circumstances, but I expect at least to have a clear set of
rules about what works and what won't.
