Multi path to shared storage

At one time there was a Q article about the use of multiple HBAs on Windows and the requirement of a third party app that manages these. I believe the reason for needing this is because Windows does not manage multiple paths to the same storage like Unix, AIX or VMS do. I seem to remember it can cause random I/O errors and read/write errors. Another division is having these issues and do not have Secure Path installed on a multi path cluster.I have built over 25 multi path clusters on Proliant platforms using Secure Path. The issue I have is that a number of coworkers are having an issue with the cost of Secure Path and I need to provide Microsoft documentation proving what I have been telling them. Does anyone know what the Q article number is or where I can find this info?
