My primary PC uses an nVidia geforce FX5500 (pci, sadly no AGP or pci2)
with a dual-monitor output, as well as it's shoddy onboard intel card
to drive a three monitor setup. two are old CRTs with standard 15pin
vga, one is a Samsung SyncMaster 191T. Here's some specs:
Screen Size: 19" Diagonal
Resolution: 1280x1024 pixel
Contrast Ratio: 500:1
Inputs: 15-pin Analog VGA, Digital DVI
I'd like to ideally come up with some kind of switch, or
multiple-switch scenario that'd allow this display to receive our cable
tv input, as well as swtich between our two gaming consoles (ps2,
nintendo Wii).
Neither my wife nor I care about picture quality in the slightest. The
Ideal scenario is that I get every input to display across at
least the two monitors the nvidia spits out to, since I'd eventually
like to replace the whole mess with two widescreen dells down the road.
If the switch(s) also come with a remote so it can be switched anywhere
in the room, bonus.
Fallback scenario is if I can get everything working reliably with the
samsung, but still have the computer output to multiple monitors.
Any advice where I might start my search?
Thanks in advance;
