Multi Line text fields

From Access '97 through to 2002, it was possible to enter a multi line entry
into a table field. This I could do with a Control - Enter (NewLine Char).
With 2003 this does not appear to be possible any more. This flows through
to form fields.
This was very handy to store addresses where the number of address lines was
variable.

It is now not possible for me to maintain any address data without reverting
to 2002, which I will be very happy to do. I find 2003 very clumsy to work
with, but maybe that's just me!

Anyone know of an option I'm missing?

TIA

Not sure what you're doing, but it works for me! What is the Enter Key
Behavior property of the affected textboxes?

Thanks John

I went back and re-tried with the form and it does accept Newline. Don't
know what I was doing before!
Still won't accept nl when entering directly into table, which is probably
not a big deal for most users.

Tks again

since users should never see tables... <g>

Actually that works fine for me too. You can only see the last line typed in
the datasheet as you type, or the first line as you move through records,
because the datasheet rows don't expand to fit; but I believe that you'll find
that the extra text is there. Try opening the datasheet, put the cursor on the
line between the selector tools in the left of the screen, and drag it down -
this will expand all the row heights and reveal the extra lines.
