Multi Level Security

Created a workgroup that includes several levels of security on my
development computer. Took it to the client and saved it in the shared
folder on their Network Neighbourhood. Joined the workgroup on all PC's. In
this case, there is a form that is only to be accessed by one individual, and
the security was setup to reflect that. The form was still accessible by
everyone. I made the appropriate changes in user groups and permissions on
one of the client PC's to see if I could get it to work. It only worked on
that PC. When I joined the workgroup on the other PC's, and logged on using
the proper ID, the form opened. It seems that I would have to set up the
security on each PC. Am I missing a step?

I joined the workgroup from the icon on the desktop, leaving Access itself
joined to the system workgroup. To my knowledge, this is how it is supposed
to be.

Any help appreciated.

When you took the database to the client, did you also take the .mdw file
that you used in securing the database? If you did and you still are seeing
this, then you missed some step in securing the database. The steps required
are listed in the Security FAQ. There is a link to it on the Security page
of my website. Also, there is a page there that lists the 10 required steps
in simple format. You might also want to take a look at www.jmwild.com

Thanks!

Visited your site...a question, does all of that also apply to Access
2002?

Connie,
For the most part it should. There were some changes made to the security
wizard, but most everything else is still the same.
