Hi people,

Is it atall possible to set-up windows XP on a multi Language interface?

i'm English, but have a Russian person use my laptop alot, and wanted to
know if its atall possible to set it so that she can have everything in
Russian when she uses it without buying a russian version, or would i have
to purchase a full copy of the RU base XP and dual boot the system?

Thanks in advanced,

Jason

Windows XP is written in specific language versions, therefore one
cannot change it from one language version to another. You'll need
to purchase a "Full Version" of Windows XP in the language version
you desire, reformat your drive and install it "clean".

Or if you have an available empty drive or partition, you can install
another "Full Version" of Windows XP in a different language version
and create a dual-boot configuration.

A good third-party partitioning program is Partition Magic 8.

What are the regional and language options in the control
panel for then?

We have a six computer network that we run PLATO on. We
have some "English as a second language (ESL)" users. We
were hoping we could change the language settings to
accomadate these users, but still be able to change back
for English users. But the way you guys talk that can't
be done. Because our ESL users are various it wouldn't be
feasible to get other versions of XP installed. Is there
anything we can do?

Thanks
