Hi;

I have a test system that has 3 instances of WinXP installed on it
(drives C:, D:, and E:) and it all worked fine.

I installed W2K on F: and it boots fine. But now when I try to boot
any of the WinXP instances, it fails giving me a message that Windows
2000 (not XP) is having trouble loading a file.

Any ideas?

thanks - dave

You must restore the hidden files c:\ntdetect.com and c:\ntldr from
your WinXP CD. Their XP version works for WinXP and Win2000
but the 2000 version works for Win2000 only.
