the antipyware beta software doesn't work. I asked on another part of the MS
forums, and was directed to the defender site. Is this the correct or only
newsgroup to post questions about antispyware beta?

When my system is left idle and/or offline for periods of time, the
antispyware
isn't in my toolbar when I open my desktop and use the computer again. Is
there
an explanation or known issue where the antispyware icon would dissapear
from my toolbar or why it would become inactive and unloaded from the system
applications without user input or while the system is idle? Just to be
sure, I have run other programs and found no spyware on my system so far.

Am I the only one annoyed that I can't minimize the antispyware window while
autoupdater downloads?

I didn't notice anything exactly like that when I was using MS Antispyware,
but there did seem to be an occasional conflict between MSA, explorer.exe,
and media player 9. Explorer and MP9 would occasionally hang for no apparent
reason - and on every such occasion the MSA icon went missing from the
notification area. So I'm not entirely surprised to read your post. But
whether there's a known explanation I'm afraid I have no idea.
