MBSA advises two problems with MSXML - downloaded the "fixes" but get errors
when trying to install (won't)

In C:\Windows\System 32 directory I have 7 DLL files - msxml, msxml2,
msxml2r, msxml3, msxml3a, msxml3r and msxmlr.

Questions -
1/ What does MSXML actually DO ?
2/ How many flavours SHOULD there be in a correct XP HE set-up?

Did see a passing reference to BIZTALK - never heard of it, certainly don't
use it (nor chatrooms, or messenger, if that's relevant.)

XML= Extensible Markup Language

Quote from:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/nhp/default.asp?contentid=28000438

"Extensible Markup Language (XML) is the universal format for data on the
Web. XML allows developers to easily describe and deliver rich, structured
data from any application in a standard, consistent way. XML does not
replace HTML; rather, it is a complementary format."

I am seeing the same assortment of msxml* files in ..\system32 that you
have listed.
