I didnt get a chance to save my paper before works said
it had encountered an error and closed. Is there at all
any way to retrieve the lost informaiton???

MS WORD can be set to save backups until you make a manual
save. I don't know if WORKS does the same. What version of
WORKS do you have? Look in your TOOLS/Options menu to see
if there is an "auto-save" function.
Do a file search by date to see if you have any files with
an extension such as .bps or .wpb or whatever WORKS would
use for these temp files.

If you find such files try to open them with WORKS.
