Okay I have read the many threads about this problem, but all of the info is
WAY over my head. I am a home user and merely trying to install a Dora Knows
Your Name CD for the Dora doll. The CD won't install because I am missing
this MSVCR80.dll From reading the other threads about this I know you need
to know that I have a FAT32 system and using Windows XP. If someone could
just let me in simple terms how to fix this it would be GREATLY
APPRECIATED!!!!
Hi Dora.. Ooops Jeep LOL,
Did you checked the Game/Application perquisites on the Game/App vendor
website or on the Manual came with the CD, you may need to download .Net
Framework for this program to work!.
Try to copy the Pre-mentioned file for where Dora CD want it to be!.
Also you can Search your Computer by typing the name of this file there and
copy and paste it where the Application want it.
You mistyped the Name by the way, it is MSVCR80.DLL or try to register it
by opening a run command and type in:
regsvr32 MSVCR80.DLL click [OK] and Reboot your machine.
Run disk clean up and then Run check disk on Start Up to repair
corrupt/damaged files/folders my on the system.
Error: " . . . Cannot access necessary file, msvcr80.dll..." when running

Can we get info about who create the Calc or you are trying to program a
Calac using one of the development tools/compilers like C++,C# or VBS?.
Did you copied the file MSVCR80.dll to this directory:
C:\Windows\System32
Also look in the event viewer for error messages that can shed some light
on the causer.
Open a Notepad, customize or minimize to the taskbar as you will need it
later for this step to copy the error message on it.
Open a run command and type in:
eventvwr.msc click [OK] you will get the Event viewer control Panel.
click on each of these:
Application
System
Security
Look in the right Pane/window for error message with red (X) or Yellow
exclamation mark /!\ , double click each one to get more info about the
causer.
On the Event error properties message you will see:
Up Arrow
Down arrow
Two pages
Click on the two pages to copy the error message then bring up the Notepad
you opened earlier and right click on the first line and select Paste from
the list, this will paste the error message on a Notepad.
Please don't duplicate the error message one of each kind will be sufficient.
