I have a Vista RC1 machine I remotely connect to from work. For
bandwidth and speed, I set it to low resolution / low color.

When I get back to the machine sitting at the console, it's as if it's
still on low resolution - For example GAIM all the icons look like 16
colors.

Is there a easy way to restore whatever needs to be restored to get
back to the high resolution?

This is in SOME apps, not all. I can put a screencap on my website if
it would help explain.

Thanks.

Evan

The screen resolution could be changing on the host machine because of the
settings you are using in Remote Desktop Connection. If you can, set the
connection speed to LAN or custom and check all the available options on the
Experience tab. If that doesn't help, post back here and we'll see what we
can do.
