Hi:

I am home user and have suddenly started to get an error message saying that
MSTMON_Q.INI file may be corrupted and then the computer stops to work. Has
any one encountered this error? On MS website I am not able to find any
thing regarding this file.

Google shows up an .exe file called MSTMON_Q.EXE which seems to be
associated with Konica/Minolta hardware. (Cameras and Printers) Do you
have any of either?

This is my exact problem. I have a Konica/Minolta PagePro1350W and I recently setup a USB print server. Because of the USB print server, the printer status monitor SW (which must be the MSTMON_Q.exe) on the computer doesn't seem to be able to communicate directly with the printer. Ocassionally this error dialogue box pops up and the computer stops working. This error never seemed to occur before I installed the USB print server (which is attached to my wireless router). Unfortunately, there is no way to turn off the printer status monitor SW.

Everything I've read says the particular printer isn't supposed to support the use of a 3rd party USB print server (there is actually a Konica/Minolta parallel print server available for this product) but I got the print server to function. Well, except for this error that I am at this point attributing to the use of the print server.

Any ideas how to make this error go away?
